N.Peal are excited to announce a men’s cashmere collection that is fully inspired by the iconic British character James Bond. Drawing influence from the famous Bond films that have dominated the silver screen for over 50 years, each piece is directly inspired by memorable Bond scenes from the likes of Goldfinger (1964) and Die Another Day (2002).
The Bond inspired cashmere range, which launched in Autumn 2019, includes luxurious quality-crafted cashmere knitwear made with 100% Mongolian cashmere. Taking cues from the most stylish looks of 007, the collection features classic turtle neck jumpers, knitted jackets and waistcoats, button polo shirts, fine cable knits and a quilted gilet to name a few of the beautiful pieces on offer.
The diversity of the collection means that there is truly a Bond inspired cashmere garment for every man, suited to any occasion; from smart formalwear to casual, chunky-knit attire that’s perfect for cooler climes. The range is perfectly balanced with a accessories to compliment the outfits, from a cashmere tie, to cashmere lined leather gloves, complete with 007 popper, the ideal Christmas gift for the discerning Bond fan.
To promote the launch, N.Peal have also created a beautifully shot short film which sees British model Paul Sculfor adventuring across the country in pursuit of another agent played by model Kristine Purvinska ; the film’s answer to a female 007.
Directed by Amir Saeidiani, the film begins in Zedel, a chic London bar, before our own Bond sets off through the streets of London and beyond by bicycle, car and boat; journeying to the breathtaking rugged country hills of Scotland. Shot in breathtaking locations including Sanna Bay and Glen Etive, the music used was also composed by David Arnold who has created the scores for five Bond films.
Eagle-eyed viewers and dedicated Bond fans will be able to spot the signature Aston Martin car, and the recognisable Omega watch worn by the character James Bond in the most recent installments. N.Peal’s Managing Director Adam Holdsworth also makes a surprise cameo in the video as the driver of the silver Aston Martin, as seen in our ‘behind-the-scenes’ trailer.
The concept sought to bring some British humour, which is intrinsic to the N.Peal, brand to the campaign, and show the qualities of a man in a quandary. While London and Scotland are both iconic locations that have strong links for both the N.Peal brand, and to the character James Bond, it seemed fitting that the video features our Burlington Arcade store which is where our own Bond journey began.
This exciting collaboration with Eon Productions, who produce the popular Bond films, has been almost 6 years in the making. The style team working on the award-winning film Skyfall first chose our beautiful blue Oxford Round Neck Sweater to be worn by the character James Bond within the movie after a visit to the Burlington Arcade store in 2012. This lead to a collaboration for Spectre in 2015, where we produced a further two sweaters to be worn by the world’s most famous spy within several scenes. Our histories have been strongly intertwined ever since, as both N.Peal and Bond share a special place in British style culture.
